Acrylic & Wool Fibres

Acrylic

A soft synthetic fibre with a “wool like” feel. Like wool, it is a spun yarn, and can therefore shed some fibres especially when new. It takes dye solutions very well and is ideal when rug designs require the use of vibrant colours.

Wool

A soft Fibre with natural resistance to fire and soiling. You should expect some shedding from your wool rug, how much will depend on the quality of the yarn used in the manufacture of that rug. Wool rugs will vacuum easily. Dyed wool yarn can achieve a rich yet subtle range of colours that other yarns cannot match, for many it remains the premium fibre for rug making.
